Organized with a Battalion Headquarters (HQ) (Command elements) and Combat Services and Support (CSS) Company named ‘Normandy’.
The Normandy Company is comprised of both HQ and CSS, which also includes the Regimental Quarter Master, Operations, Transport, Orderly Room, Finance, Attractions and Pipes and Drums. Normandy Company’s main focus is to support the mission to provide trained infantry soldiers to meet the operational requirements of the Canadian Armed Forces. Whether it is augmenting Regular Force units on overseas operations or Domestic Operations is support of Canadians like fighting floods, forest fires, severe weather or pandemics at home, we ensure the unit and its members are at high readiness throughout the year.
To succeed, it is of upmost importance to ensure our soldiers are well taken care of whether its administratively or logistically. Our dedicated full time staff, part-time reservists and civilians, work countless hours behind the scenes, whether it’s at the Cartier Square Drill Hall or Lynwood Training Site, to ensure that our rifle company can focus on the mission and getting the job done.
This year, our focus will be on ensuring all of our members complete their Annual Personal Readiness Verification (APRV), are qualified at the Individual Battle Task Standard (IBTS), while continuing culture and awareness events, such as Remembrance Day, Christmas Dinner, End of Year BBQ.
Combat Service Support is defined as the essential capabilities, functions, activities, and tasks necessary to sustain all elements of operating forces in theatre at all levels of war. The Company ensures sound supply, maintenance, transportation, financial, and other sustainment activities are in place to support the Alpha, Bravo & CIMIC B Coys, thereby permitting them to accomplish their training goals

The total strength of a the HQ&S Coy is approx. 60 pers all ranks (6 Officers, 10 WO’s and Sr NCO’s, 44 Junior Ranks).

BATTLE HONOUR EXPLAINED The Camerons were the only Ottawa regiment to participate in the first landings. The Camerons provided the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division’s with heavy weapons and supported all units landing on the beaches.
